Author Guidelines
Authors submitting manuscripts to the Integrated Journal of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (IJAIDS) are required to follow the guidelines and manuscript template provided by the journal. These guidelines are intended to ensure consistency in manuscript preparation, facilitate the editorial and peer-review process, and maintain the academic quality of published articles.
Authors are strongly encouraged to download and use the official IJAIDS manuscript template before preparing their submissions. Manuscripts that do not comply with the journal's formatting and submission requirements may be returned to authors for revision before entering the review process.
1. Language and Manuscript Formatting
Manuscripts may be written in Indonesian or English. Authors must ensure that the language is clear, grammatically correct, and appropriate for academic publication.
All manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word and formatted according to the official IJAIDS manuscript template. The following formatting specifications must be observed:
Authors must not independently modify the template's page layout, header, footer, paragraph styles, or other predefined formatting elements. The manuscript should be edited directly using the official template.
2. Article Title and Author Information
- The manuscript must include the article title in both Indonesian and English.
- Titles should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
- Author names must be written without academic titles or professional degrees.
- Each author's institutional affiliation must include the institution's name and complete address, city, postal code, and country.
- The email address of each author must be provided.
- The corresponding author must be clearly identified with an asterisk (*).
- Authors sharing the same institutional affiliation should use consistent affiliation numbering.
3. Abstract and Keywords
Every manuscript must contain an abstract in both Indonesian and English. Each abstract must provide a concise summary of the research, including the research background, objectives, methods, principal findings, and conclusions.
- Abstract length: 100–400 words for each language.
- Abstract font: Times New Roman, 9 pt, italic, following the template.
- Abstracts should be written clearly and concisely.
- Each abstract may contain numerical information but should avoid unnecessary symbols.
- Keywords must be provided in both Indonesian and English.
- Authors should provide 3–5 keywords that represent the main concepts and research topics.
4. Manuscript Structure
Research manuscripts should generally follow the structure below. Section headings must follow the official template and should not be manually numbered.
- Introduction
Presents the research background, problem identification, research objectives, relevant literature, and the contribution or significance of the study. - Methods
Describes the research design, data sources, materials, instruments, procedures, proposed methods, models, formulas, and analytical techniques in sufficient detail to support reproducibility. - Results and Discussion
Presents research findings, experimental results, data analysis, and interpretation. Results should be critically discussed in relation to relevant previous studies. - Conclusion
Summarizes the principal findings and explains how the research objectives have been addressed. Future research directions and potential applications may also be included. - Declarations
Includes the required declarations described in Section 8 of these guidelines. - References
Lists all cited sources using the IEEE referencing style.
5. Equations, Figures, Tables, and Abbreviations
A. Abbreviations and Acronyms
All abbreviations and acronyms must be defined when first introduced in the main text, even if they have already been defined in the abstract. Avoid using abbreviations in the article title and section headings unless their use is essential.
B. Equations
- Equations must be numbered consecutively throughout the manuscript.
- Equation numbers must be placed in parentheses and aligned to the right side of the page.
- Equations should be centered and formatted using Times New Roman or Symbol fonts, as appropriate.
- All symbols and variables must be defined before or immediately after the equations in which they appear.
- Mathematical notation must be consistent and clearly presented.
C. Figures and Tables
- Figures and tables must be placed near the relevant discussion and after they are first mentioned in the text.
- Figure captions must be placed below the figures.
- Table titles must be placed above the tables.
- Figures and tables should be clear, readable, and of sufficient resolution.
- All figures and tables must be numbered consecutively and referred to consistently in the manuscript.
6. References and Citation Style
- Manuscripts must contain at least 15 references.
- At least 80% of the references should come from scientific journal articles indexed in SINTA and/or Scopus.
- Authors are encouraged to prioritize recent and relevant scholarly publications.
- All in-text citations and reference entries must follow the IEEE referencing style.
- Citations must be numbered consecutively in square brackets, for example [1], [2], and [3].
- References must be listed in the order in which they appear in the manuscript.
- All cited works must appear in the reference list, and all listed references must be cited in the manuscript.
- Reference management software such as Mendeley is recommended to maintain citation consistency.
Authors should follow the reference examples provided in the official IJAIDS template. DOI information should be included whenever available. The use of reliable and traceable scholarly sources is strongly encouraged.
7. Originality and Publication Ethics
- Submitted manuscripts must be original works produced by the authors.
- Manuscripts must not have been previously published in any journal or other publication.
- Manuscripts must not be under consideration for publication by another journal at the time of submission.
- Authors must properly acknowledge and cite all sources, data, figures, and other materials used in their research.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring that their research complies with applicable research ethics requirements.
- Authors must submit the journal's Statement of Originality, Research Ethics, and Authorship Contribution form.
8. Mandatory Declarations
Authors must include the declaration statements specified in the official IJAIDS template. The following sections must be provided where applicable and must accurately reflect the circumstances of the research.
Authors must disclose any financial, personal, professional, or other relationships that could potentially influence the research or its interpretation. If no competing interests exist, an appropriate statement must be provided.
Authors may acknowledge funding agencies, institutions, organizations, individuals, or research teams that provided financial, technical, or other relevant support.
Authors must provide a statement explaining the availability and source of the data used in the research. Public datasets must be properly cited, and their licenses or usage requirements must be respected. For private or restricted datasets, authors must explain how the data were obtained and why they cannot be made publicly available.
Authors may use AI tools to support their work, provided that such use remains under meaningful human oversight and does not replace critical human judgment. The use of generative AI must be disclosed in the designated section of the manuscript. When AI tools are used as part of the research process, their use must also be described in sufficient detail in the methodology section to support transparency and reproducibility.
The use of AI to modify images is not permitted. Adjustments such as brightness, contrast, or color balance may be acceptable only when they do not remove or obscure information in the original image and are disclosed in the figure caption. Authors remain fully responsible for all published content.
Basic tools used only for spelling, grammar, or reference checking do not need to be declared. If no generative AI tools have been used, the AI declaration section may be omitted.
9. Manuscript Length and Publication Fees
