Abstract

Writing scientific papers requires good reference management so that citations and bibliographies are arranged systematically. However, many students still experience difficulties in using reference management applications. This community service activity aims to improve participants' understanding of the use of Mendeley and Zotero through the webinar "Sat Set Manajemen Referensi" (Reference Management Set). The activity was carried out online with a total of 21 participants, while 14 participants completed the pre-test and post-test. The implementation method consisted of material delivery, demonstrations, and direct practice using the application. The results of the activity showed an average pre-test score of 86% and a post-test of 96%, resulting in a 10% increase. The results of the hypothesis test showed a p-value of 0.01 (<0.05), indicating a significant increase in participants' understanding after the training. Thus, the webinar was proven effective in improving participants' abilities in reference management for scientific papers. The effectiveness of the program is not only demonstrated by the increase in participants' scores, but also by the participants' ability to practice reference management independently during the webinar practice sessions.
