Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has brought significant changes to various aspects of life, including education. Understanding computer technology is a fundamental competency needed by the younger generation to face the challenges of the digital era. However, not all children have equal opportunities to gain knowledge and experience in using computer technology, particularly children living in orphanages. This situation drives the need for educational activities aimed at improving technological literacy from an early age. This community service activity was conducted at the Al Hudaa Orphanage, focusing on introducing the children to computer hardware. The activity included preparation, material delivery, computer hardware demonstrations, and discussion and question-and-answer sessions. The material provided included an introduction to various computer components, including monitors, motherboards, processors, RAM, hard drives, keyboards, mice, and other supporting devices, along with their respective functions. The results of the activity demonstrated that participants were able to recognize various computer hardware components and understand their basic functions. Furthermore, participants demonstrated high levels of enthusiasm throughout the activity. This activity positively contributed to improving the technological literacy of the children at the Al Hudaa Orphanage and fostered their interest in learning more about information technology.
