Zero to Hero: AI Prompt Training to Transform Smartphone Profile Photos into Studio-Standard Visuals

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has opened up numerous opportunities in digital image processing, including the creation of professional profile photos without the need for specialized photography equipment. However, many people still lack an understanding of how to optimally utilize AI technology, particularly in creating prompts to produce high-quality visuals. This community service activity was implemented through a seminar and training titled "Zero to Hero: Training on Utilizing AI Prompts to Transform Smartphone Profile Photos into Studio-Standard Visuals." The activity aimed to improve participants' digital literacy and skills in utilizing generative AI to produce professional profile photos from photos taken with a smartphone. The methods used included material delivery, demonstrations of AI platform usage, practical prompt creation, and discussion and question-and-answer sessions. The activity results demonstrated an increased understanding of the participants' understanding of the concept of generative AI, effective prompt creation techniques, and the ability to produce visuals that resemble studio shots. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the training and were able to directly implement the material. This activity contributed to improving the community's digital competence and expanding the use of AI technology for personal branding and professional development.
